To mark the 20th anniversary of the release of The Artist In The Ambulance, Thrice hit the studio to re-record/update the classic album. Vocalist Dustin Kensrue states "what we wanted the record to sound like for fans is that somehow one of their old favorite records got a new lease on life, but that it hadn't lost its soul or turned into something else."
For the re-recording the band enlisted some special guests including members of The Architects, Manchester Orchestra, Hot Water Music and more.
